This site is a tribute to David. 

David was a truly remarkable man. He was often described as salt of the earth, a friendly man who was dedicated to his family and friends.

Although he was a cheeky boy during his childhood, having locked a teacher in the stationary room at school. To the many antics he participated in.

He had a great sense of humour and often made others laugh.

A dear friend of his said he was a pillar of the community, which is a very fitting accolade.

He would help his neighbours and family where he was able to. Even to the extent of climbing the wall with a lawnmower to help his next-door neighbour.

David loved animals of all kinds, his home was not complete without a furred or feathered companion. His much beloved dog Butch was a close companion. He spread his love for animals down to his daughter too.

He was wise when it came to spotting wildlife, and had extensive knowledge of wild plants too. His love for nature was unending, much preferring to be outside than indoors.

A loving and devoted husband, a wonderful father who always had kind words. He was a brother who would help his siblings when he was able to. He was a fun Grandad who brought a lot of laughter and comfort. He was a good friend and a brilliant man.

He is much loved and will always be remembered.
